Defective Seat Belt Leads to $6.5 Million Judgment

In 2002 a 6-year-old Billy Meals was in a car crash that left him paralyzed from the waist down and his father and grandfather deceased. It’s a tragic story that is made worse by the fact that his seat belt was defective and apparently played a role in his catastrophic injuries. A jury recently awarded him $6.5 million in judgment against the Ford Motor Co.
